BROUGHTON was awash with beautiful blooms on Saturday during the annual Horticultural Show.
The Show was opened by Eric Ward, who was born and brought up at Dawyck.
Mr Ward recently returned to the area after leaving to follow his career a number of years ago.
He congratulated the exhibitors on their entries and presented the Awards.
The Show was well supported, despite the difficulties caused by the erratic weather for the keen vegetable growers.
The Children’s entries showed tremendous imagination and clearly a lot of hard work had gone into many of the exhibits.
This year there was an exceptionally good entry, both in quantity and quality, for the drawing of named wild flowers for which the Henderson Cup was awarded to Rionna Semple.
