BORDERER Darren Thomson (27) will be back on the road this weekend to raise money for the Gala Fairydean Rovers Disability Para Football squad.
With the assistance of Cornerstone support worker Alastair Jamieson, Darren will be taking part in this year’s Kiltwalk in Edinburgh.

The Kiltwalk is Scotland’s largest mass participation walking event with over 120,000 people taking part since 2016 raising an incredible £24.6 million to date.
Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation have topped this up with £12.5 million meaning a staggering collective £37 million has been raised and paid-out to 3,000 Scottish Charities.
Darren who suffered a stroke six years ago following a blood clot on his brain required two operations to help drain the excess fluid in his brain and is now confined to a wheelchair.
The 5km 'Wee Wander' walk takes place on Sunday.
The route starts at Gypsy Brae and concludes at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.

Last month Darren and his support workers completed an eight hour journey from Gibson Park in Melrose to Netherdale via Selkirk and raised almost £1,000 which was divided equally between the disability squad and the Stroke Ward at the Borders General Hospital.
And to boost the coffers, the die hard Hibs fan even agreed to wear a Hearts top for part of the journey.
