YOUNG Peeblesshire performers are set to bring a popular children's story to life.

Pupils from Stardust Performing Arts - part of the Fiona Henderson School of Dance (FHSD) - will bring the musical version of Peter Pan to the Eastgate Theatre stage later this month.

Audiences at the show can expect to be immersed in the magical and tropical scenery of Neverland as they follow Peter, his Lost Boys and Tinker Bell on a high-flying adventure.

A FHSD spokesperson said: "Over 75 young performers, who attend weekly musical theatre classes in acting, dancing and singing with Peebles and Biggar based Stardust Performance Arts, will take to the stage at the Eastgate Theatre, Peebles to perform 'Peter Pan the Musical'.

"Audiences will be immersed in the dense, tropical landscapes of Neverland as they experience the high-flying adventure of Peter Pan and soar to Neverland with Peter, Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys as they battle the vicious Captain Hook and navigate this spectacular, ethereal world."

Peter Pan is on stage at the Eastgate Theatre, at 6-8pm on Saturday, March 23 and from 2.30-4.30pm on Sunday, March 24.
