AN INNERLEITHEN gym is on the lookout for a new home as its current tenancy nears its end.

CrossFit INRZ, which opened back in September 2022, has become a popular fitness venue and gym, with a membership of more than 100 people.

Its current tenancy at Station Yard is coming to an end so the gym is looking for new premises.

Owner Annette Oliphant said: “Ideally we are looking for an industrial type unit, barn or something you think may ideally be suited to our CrossFit style of exercise that incorporates functional movement, weightlifting and gymnastics.

“I feel we have such a good thing going, it would be a shame for it to come to an end due to having nowhere to relocate too.”

Meanwhile, the gym enjoyed outstanding success at the Scottish Weightlifting Masters Championships in Glasgow.

The team, headed up by weightlifting coach Nate Rainer, all became Scottish Masters in their weight and age categories.

All relatively new to the sport, the team of Annette, Caroline Connaghan and Claire Bell were only competing in their second and third competitions but managed to bring home the medals.

And to add to the haul, Caroline broke the Scottish records in snatch, clean & jerk and total events.

Annette, who is also the owner of CrossFit INRZ, will compete in the European Masters Championship in Norway this summer alongside Caroline and Nate.

If anyone can help with the gym’s relocation plans, get in touch directly with Annette either by email on info@crossFitInrz.com or on social media.
