TRAQUAIR House hosted its first ever Dogs Day out last Sunday.
More than 500 owners and their dogs turned up for the occasion at Scotland's oldest inhabited house, in Innerleithen.
A huge variety of breeds, from rescue to pedigree dogs, took part in the Dog Agility test, chasing a lure, the Traquair Maze Challenge and even a Dog Scavenger hunt.
Perhaps the most popular event was the Companion Dog Show, which saw over 120 dogs compete for titles such as Golden Oldie, Best Rescue Dog, Dog with Most Appealing Eyes and Fastest Sausage Eater.
And a fantastic £190 was raised for the New Beginnings Cavalier Rescue charity, an organisation that rehomes dogs.
A range of other dog charities also had stalls in the Old Walled Garden on the day, which also proved very popular.
Catherine Maxwell Stuart, the organiser of the event, said: "We were absolutely delighted with the turnout for this first time event and will certainly trying to have another Dogs Day Out next year."
