TWO Borders teams are in action today Thursday November 2 in the final round of fixtures in this season’s Walking Football Scotland Over 60s Premiership at Oriam National Performance Centre, Edinburgh.

And it's all to play for.

The current Premiership has 13-teams but there will be a new structure next season with the top eight retaining their Premiership status and the bottom five dropping down to a newly formed Championship alongside new entrants.

Gala Fairydean Rovers are currently ninth on eight points from nine games one point behind Stenhousemuir who have played a game fewer.

Gala start off with a must win game against fifth place Fife Wanderers then face two tough games against Linlithgow Rose and Dundee United who are both in contention for the title.

Tweedvale could also make the Premiership cut but have only two games to do so.

Tweedvale are currently 11th with six points from 10 games and face Alloa Athletic and Braehead before finishing the day with a friendly against Dunfermline Dynamos.

Find out how everyone got on in next week’s Border Telegraph.
